Weave won!
Ripe Sweden won the Bath Design World Cup on Sunday - well, technically, we won the ‘Least Number of Points’ Award but, to us, that qualifies as a win. We also won the ‘Best Dressed Team’ Award which meant more to us than winning the tournament.
Our team of nine started very poorly by losing the first three games and then, with John (from Orbit Digital) being sick in the bushes and having to retire for the day, we were down to 8. In the next game, Adam (from Ignition) damaged his knee which put him out for the rest of the tournament.
We played the six remaining games with no subsitutes but actually won one of them and drew two.
Click here for pictures of the day.
We would all like to thank Peter at Radio for organising yet another fantastic day.

Glad you had a good day. We really enjoyed it too-can’t believe we got to the final and can’t believe we got beaten by the bloody profs! It was more nerve racking watching that, than watching the real England!
Great pics –I will let the other captains know. We had Neil the official DWC photographer taking shots yesterday so I will let you know when they are available.
See you soon and thanks for all your support and sponsorship of the DWC and also for getting into the spirit of the event so well –I cant believe you kept those wigs on to play in –marvellous!
See you soon.

Nice one! Congratulations on the Lowest Points Award, you must be so proud!
I remind you of a previous message from you:
Our team is now full. Looking good, probably our strongest yet… worried?
We started well, in fact look very tasty, until we met Equador. The game ended with us losing 2 players, losing 0-3 with three players sin-binned. From then on it was a struggle. We were down to 7 players and had to call on a 15-year-old lad with boots two sizes too big for him and a spectator who then pulled a hamstring after 6 minutes.
For the record : P8 W1 D2 L5 : F6 A14 : Points 5.
Good day though and respect for playing throughout with those tasty wigs.
